Blue Island Ice Tea January 10, 2010

Blue island ice tea: It’s just like a long island ice tea, but with a shot of blue bols to add colour and flavour.

  Ingredients:  

            4 parts vodka 

            3 parts white rum 

            3 parts tequila /triple sec 

            3 parts gin 

            3 parts blue Curacao 

            4 parts sweet & sour mix 

            3 parts cola

            1 wedge lime

            1 cup ice cubes

                             Preparation: Fill a highball glass with ice cubes. Pour all the ingredients (except wedge lime which will be used to garnish). Do not stir and allow the liquors to remain layered. Garnish with a lime wedge to serve.

Wake the Dead

Wake the dead: It’s again a very strong drink. It requires Bacardi 151 which may be difficult to find in many places. I wonder if it really wakes the Dead!

     Ingredients:

                           1 oz. Light Rum

                           1 oz. Dark Rum 

                           1 oz. Gold Rum 

                           1 tsp. 151 Rum

                           1/2 oz. Apricot Brandy

                           1 oz. Pineapple Juice 

                           1 oz. Lime Juice

                           2 oz. Orange Juice

                           1 tsp. Sugar 

                           1 cup Crushed Ice

                 Preparation: Put all the ingredients into a blender ( except Bacardi 151) and blend at high-speed until it becomes smooth.

Pour the contents into a Collins Glass and then add Bacardi 151 on top of it so that it floats. Garnish with orange slice and cherry and serve.

Long Island Iced Tea

                  About: It’s not tea, it’s a cocktail.  It was named so for its resemblance to non-alcoholic Iced Tea. It is made with ingredients like vodka, gin, rum, tequila. A common type mixes equal parts of vodka, gin, tequila (or brandy), rum and triple sec (orange-flavored liquor) with 1 1/2 parts of sour mix( or lime juice or lime cordial) and a splash of cola.

 

Ingredients:

Three parts Vodka

Three parts Tequila

Three parts White Rum

Three parts Triple Sec

Three parts Gin

Five parts Lemon Juice

Six parts Gomme Syrup

Dash of Cola

Preparation:- Mix ingredients in glass over ice, stir, garnish and serve.

It is served On the rocks; poured over ice
